The urban itinerary on Francesco Allegrini was born from an idea of the Polo Museale Diocesano of Gubbio, coordinated by the Cultural Heritage Office of the Diocese of Gubbio and supported by the Cultural Association La Medusa, with the aim of enhancing and promoting knowledge of this great seventeenth-century painter who left extraordinary pictorial works in highly symbolic places in Gubbio. Curated by Manuela Nocella, with the support of Luca Calenne and the coordination of Elisa Polidori, the project is included in the activities of the MeTu-Passaggio a Nord-est network, supported by the Umbria Region, and sponsored by the Municipality of Gubbio. It is also part of the broader context of ArsSacra, a path for the enhancement of the Eugubine Churches. Conferences, guided tours, educational activities and a system of audio guides downloadable with q-code, are the central activities of the project “Francesco Allegrini in Gubbio in the seventeenth century – a path in the footsteps of the great painter in the city in the seventeenth century”.
