Tradition has it that the fourteenth-century building located in the central Via Baldassini, owned by the University of Perugia and recently granted on loan to the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Perugia, was the Casa del Santo Ubaldo (e.g. House of Holy Ubaldo, Patron Saint of Gubbio).
Some traces of the original wall decorations inside the building are preserved, while the external facade has been set back following the construction of the facing municipal buildings.
